I have spent over 20 years in real-estate project management with experience in residential, mixed use and Commercial office. I started my career with Equity Residential and worked my way from the property level to managing 200+ projects a year across 50 properties as their Construction Services Manager in Washington DC and San Francisco. My time with Equity gave me many opportunities and a wide range of experience, from updating a 100 year old building façade, windows and interiors down the road from the Whitehouse and again in Chevy Chase MD. to running 200+ projects a year around the San Francisco Bay. After working with Equity for almost 16 years I decided I was ready to give up my long commutes in LA, DC and San Francisco and made the change to Tech and started work with GoDaddy.com. I had never worked in commercial or Tech Offices before, but was excited for the challenge and started with a 20k sf office update in LA and 40k sf update in Iowa. While with GoDaddy I was able to focus on design, office layout and Tenant Improvement construction much more than I had in the past. Over the next 6 years I updated nearly half a million square feet of office space. These projects ranged from continuing the design that had been started years before in Scottsdale, AZ to updating the 180,000 SF call center in Gilbert, AZ. I worked closely with our IT and Networking teams to gain knowledge on MDF/IDF build outs, Networking infrastructure and IT implementation in small and large spaces. My time at GoDaddy also gave me much more direct interaction with brokers, landlords and other real-estate professionals gaining extensive experience on the Tenant Improvement process. With the end of the pandemic also came the end of in office work at GoDaddy and after working to reduce our overall office portfolio to a minimal footprint it was time to leave. My career in real-estate has spanned over 2 decades and my guiding principle has been to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. From my first day I have always utilized my relationships with employees, vendors, trades people and consultants to gain as much knowledge as possible. In this experience from coast to coast I have done everything from exterior paints to full masonry façade restorations, single AC unit replacements to installing new chillers and cooling towers, grinding sidewalks to repaving entire street systems and replacing a single chair for an executive to working on FFE design with Knoll to better serve the call center community. I look forward to continuing this education.
