I oversee and direct all of the financial, operational and administrative activities of the municipal marina and boat launch owned by the City of Stockton, CA. I am responsible for directly managing the marina staff and outside contractors including Marina Administrators, Dockhands and Security Officers. I meet regularly with the company's other Directors and government officials to report on, revise and agree the financial and operational strategy for the city's downtown waterfront.

•Overall responsibility for the operational, financial and administrative resources of the largest marina in the UK with 1,500 berths and 23 permanent members of staff•Oversaw all of the marina’s engineering infrastructure including the boatyard, over ten miles of floating pontoons and jetties, navigation aids and the largest non-commercial lock in Europe•Regularly produced Operations and Health & Safety reports for quarterly board meetings •Liaised with all of the marina’s many stakeholders through regular meetings with the Harbour Board, Berth Holders’ Association, the marina’s many tenants and the companies that managed the commercial and residential real estate of the marina complex

•Advised on the company’s business plan and assisted with its presentation to the statutory authorities including the Port of London Authority•Conducted a logistics feasibility study for the provision of passenger transportation

· Recruited for a six month contract to manage Cadogan Pier in advance of the preparations for hosting the Queen of England's Royal Barge during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant· Liaised closely with the Pageant organisers on all aspects involving the pier· Contracted and worked with a qualified risk management consultant to develop and implement a Safety Management System for the company and also put into practice the procedures for a planned and systematic approach to policy implementation including drafting the following:- New Terms and Conditions and Berthing Agreements based on the TYHA Code of Practice- Company Safety Policy, Emergency and Fire Plans, etc.- A procedure for approving and inducting outside contractors· Produced a 10 year plan of capital expenditure and management costs· Improved signage, installed a pier notice board and began monthly newsletter· Took action to make the pier compliant with statutory regulations for electrical installations, fire equipment, H&S requirements, etc.· Changed the waste collection to implement a suitable recycling program· Arranged for an RYA training centre to conduct an information event on the pier

· Managed the largest marina in central London with two hundred berths, a large commercial boatyard and the second busiest commercial/commuter pier on the River Thames · Planned, organized and managed the marina's financial, personnel and administrative resources including a budget of £1m, seven permanent staff, a wide range of contractors, consultants and temporary staff · Oversaw the operation and maintenance of the marina's mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering infrastructure and supporting systems · Liaised with council officials, Port of London Authority, Environment Authority, Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade to establish policies, define responsibilities, and determine operating requirements · Met routinely and personally with representatives of the berth holders' association and marina occupants on management matters.· Increased the profitability of the marina year on year

· Commanded 15.6 metre busy, commercial passenger vessel in the Canary Wharf area of London· Assumed overall responsibility for the vessel including maintenance, contractors, staff training and health and safety· Provision of customer service for high profile clientele and internal clients· Liaised with relevant Ballymore staff and crew regarding all aspects of the boat operation

· Organized and lead a team in the creation of a programme for the fractional ownership of luxury catamarans from the concept stage through determining the corporate structure of three separate companies · Managed the development of all marketing materials, secured editorial coverage in appropriate publications and negotiated attractive advertising rates · Recruited appropriate personnel to work in various positions such as office manager and skipper/hostess couples for the yachts · Liaised with the legal department to produce commission contracts and cultivated relationships with individuals in a position to provide introductions to potential customers

· Gained significant experience in the marine industry learning the systems and requirements of various vessels and dealing with their crew, yard workers, suppliers, owners and their guests · Established many contacts and developed a broad boating background through several key experiences including acting as Watch Leader of a 66' Oyster sailing yacht during an Atlantic crossing from the Caribbean to the UK and one month refit out of the water, skippering a commercial passenger water taxi during Cowes Week and working as skipper and crew aboard various other vessels for deliveries, races and refits

I was intricately involved with every aspect of the day to day running of the business:· I founded and built the company into the largest housekeeping service in New York City with over fifty employees and an average annual turnover of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars· I gained invaluable experience in recruiting and supervising exceptional staff, making high level contacts and selling them on my ability to provide incomparable results while dealing with the finer points of customer service· I established six offices in Manhattan and acted as the in-house maid and valet service for several luxury apartment buildings including Trump Plaza, The Cosmopolitan, 500 Park Tower, The Metropolitan, 100 United Nations Plaza and The Savoy· Maids Etc. was chosen by New York Magazine for their Best of New York edition
