In the 2018 elections, Grant’s company Big Dog Strategies was overwhelmingly successful in the races they consulted for, including Rep. Will Hurd’s district that Hillary Clinton carried in 2016. In Kansas, Grant successfully led Steve Watkins through an unlikely win in the crowded Republican primary and onto a successful bid for election against a well-funded & well-known opponent. 
In addition to his work as lead consultant, Grant also oversaw the direct mail campaign for Marsha Blackburn’s senatorial campaign, in which she was elected the first female U.S. Senator in the state of Tennessee. Big Dog Strategies also provided cutting-edge direct mail, creative, and strategies for dozens of clients in more than 20 states during the 2018 midterms.

Created and founded a media production and general consulting firm that specializes in elected Republican candidates in Democratic districts. Won more than 90% of campaigns consulted.Served as chief strategist and media consultant on over 20 races at the national, state and local level, including one of only 4 Republican campaigns to defeat a Democratic incumbent for Congress in 2012 Obama re-election. Created, drafted, designed, wrote and produced more than 100 individual pieces and 10 million overall pieces of mail for races throughout the country.Consulted for variety of campaigns, including Collins for Congress, Corwin for Congress, New York Republican State Committee, New York State Senate Republican Committee.Wrote, directed and produced highly praised television ads for prominent campaigns, including the first Republican candidate in Buffalo, NY to win countywide in a presidential year since 1972.Served as on-the-record spokesman for campaigns , and was sought out for interviews in national, state and local publications.

Managed all senior staff, including communications team, and key policy department heads for the third largest county in New York State, with an annual budget of nearly $1.3 billion and nearly 5,000 employees. Supervised legislative agenda, which resulted in passage of key legislation reforming county government, as well as introduction of historic Medicaid legislation in New York State Senate.
