During my time here I will also be completing my Chartered Accounting exams with ACCA, I have currently obtained first-time passes in all eight of my exams so far with five left to complete. Key responsibilities include: • Creating audit tests which effectively evaluate key areas of the accounts.• Developing strong client relationships, ensuring that we obtained the information required to audit the accounts.• Preparing accounts and proposing adjustments to clients using my understanding of accounting practices.• Assisting less experienced colleagues.• Carrying out audit planning, obtaining background information on the client and ensuring the audit adheres to relevant regulations such as the new ISA315r requirements.• Taking responsibility for sections of the audit and responding promptly to manager review notes, ensuring the audit runs on schedule. • In the AML and Financial crime team I verified investors to reduce the risk of fraud to the Management Companies. My role has mainly focussed around discounting PEPs and making sure that relevant markers are put on politically exposed accounts. • This required me to make accurate and concise, explanations regarding my findings on each case that I came across.
