Christopher Mims is an award-winning strategic communications professional. He currently serves as Regional Vice President of Communications & Marketing for the American Heart Association (AHA). The system is the state's largest of its kind, enabling citizens to request city services via phone or online in a centralized system twenty-four hours a day. Christopher has more than twenty years of experience in the communications field. He has served in key management positions for several organizations, as well as on the communications staff of the mayor of Jackson during three separate terms. Also notable are his four years as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Jackson Zoo, where, in his first year, attendance rose by 30% percent as a result of his aggressive marketing strategy. During the course of his career, Christopher has developed unique strengths in managing crisis communication and developing effective public relations campaigns. He's also had success in fundraising, media advocacy and political consulting.
