Supported 150 employees nationwide (incl Hawaii and Guam), 1 direct report.• Creation of the firm’s human resources function.• Implement, perform, and direct the full range of HR capacities reporting directly to the Principals.• Create, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures• Recruiting and onboarding of technician and learned-professional cultural resources management staff• Partner with division leaders and project managers to solve employee relations and performance challenges• Benefits plan administration, including plan design, compliance, and administration, of health & welfare and retirement plans• Ensure HR practices are compliant with contractor regulatory requirements and business principles• Fulfill all government reporting, including ERISA, OSHA, and Federal Contractor reporting• Identify and impart management developmental training• Shared responsibility to employee safety, security, and trainingNotable projects include:• Establish a seamless and complete HR system using integrated vendors including:o SaaS HRIS platformo EEO-compliant applicant tracking systemo background screening solution with remote I-9 and E-Verifyo performance management solutiono benefits administration system• Redesign of the company benefit plan, reducing both major medical and ancillary benefit costs• Revision and update of the employee handbook• Creation of company job descriptions• Instillation of a learning management module for remote trainings• Revision of offer letters to emphasize compensation and total rewards
