As Chief Marketing Officer at Qlik and a data wonk at heart, I utilize data to create and support narratives and form marketing strategies that tap into the heart of our industry.My team and I work hard to communicate and demystify the path to AI and believe that how we do this should be accessible and actionable. Our aim is to communicate the value and importance of AI, data integration, data quality, and analytics for businesses to fully drive business outcomes.Previously, I was the CMO at Commvault and held senior roles at SAP in sales, marketing, and global comms. I’ve picked up tips, tools and a data-driven mindset that helps boost revenue and enhance customer experiences through inventive marketing, while also strengthening our global brand campaigns.Among many things, I’ve championed the launch and growth of a top-rated SaaS solution and received a Sirius Decisions Innovation Award for outstanding demand management efforts. These achievements were created with the power of data science and creative marketing strategy—an approach I sometimes think of as the combination of ‘Mad Men’ with ‘Math Men.’I’m dedicated to mentorship and employee development at all levels and functions of business. It is a commitment rooted in the belief that facilitating the growth of others is as rewarding as gaining wisdom from my own mentors.Outside of the office, I’m a terrible athlete that enjoys running, biking and triathlons. In January 2018, I found myself on an expedition to the South Pole as part of the South Pole Energy Challenge (of which you can hear more about in my TEDx talk).A graduate of Penn State in Economics, I found my way to marketing, and to many stages in my career by saying yest to opportunities as they came to me. These experiences have left me with lots of stories and insights which I can apply to my professional work and activities.Looking into the future, I see marketing evolving into a blend of tech potential and human storytelling.
