In my time with my previous employer, OpTech Group, I wore several hats... I have been a graphic designer, video editor, webmaster, sales associate, and even trade show booth operator. I have been fortunate enough to have my creative hand in many different projects spanning several different companies.In my previous career I was a 3D artist. I have worked with two different video game companies as an environment artist / programmer. The first being Collision Studios, where I worked on "Ultimate Duck Hunting," "Jumper: Griffins Story" and "City of Ember." All are Wii and/or Ps2 titles.I then went on to work for Brainstorm. There I worked on the online version of a childrens card game called 'Professor Brainstorm.'My responsibilities included helping with designing layouts of different zones for the characters to run around in, creating 3D models of buildings and scenery using 3D Studio Max and unwrapping them for texturing, and finally placing the models and assigning collision to the world objects using XML and PaperVision.Most of the PaperVision code is experimental and there was a great deal of trial-and-error to be had in order to obtain specific results. In the end, though, we came out on top with more than we could have ever asked for in the initial design of the game platform itself.As something to keep me busy on the side, I enjoy working with online development tools such as Flash and Flash Catalyst to develop my personal webpage and help family members with their own. I continue to learn and teach myself new programs and techniques to keep up with the ever-changing world of tech we live in. My passion for computers and technology is never ending and I am so excited to be a part this creative industry!
