With over 20 years in international development, early childhood advocacy, safeguarding, mental health, and social justice, I am committed to transforming child protection systems and advancing mental well-being, particularly within marginalised communities. As CEO of Child’s i Foundation, I lead diverse teams and collaborate with governments, communities, and investors to create sustainable, community-led solutions that meet the complex needs of at-risk children and families.I bring a unique blend of clinical, managerial, and transformational leadership skills from my background as a psychotherapist and advocate. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and systemic change, developing practical, scalable, and impactful programs. My expertise spans child care reform, mental health access, social inclusion, and youth justice, with a commitment to dismantling inequities and building resilient communities where children and youth are safe, strong, and valued. By amplifying local voices and building solidarity, I promote equitable, inclusive practices. My dedication is to supporting grassroots initiatives, where lived experience drives meaningful, sustainable change, and where community-based organisations—too often overlooked by traditional funders—can lead.At Child’s i Foundation, I develop strategic partnerships with communities, government bodies, donors, and transnational entities to build responsive, community-led child protection systems. I lead the design of frontline delivery models and advocate for transformational policy changes at national and continental levels. These efforts align with my mission to drive sustainable impact through community-driven interventions.I am also the co-founder of an initiative advocating for racial and gender justice and serve as a trustee for VSO International and the Kyaninga Child Development Centre, where I contribute to governance, safeguarding, and advocacy to drive sustainable impact. Additionally, I mentor early-stage startups, guiding them in positioning for growth and accessing hard-to-secure funding, furthering my dedication to social justice and community resilience.
