Chris advises clients on tax matters across a wide range of industries with particular focus on real estate, infrastructure projects and M&A.Chris is a Managing Director in Alvarez & Marsal's Melbourne office. Prior to joining A&M he was a Partner at PwC and Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills. Chris’ practice is primarily transactional. He advises clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, demergers, restructures, financing and infrastructure projects and negotiates and drafts the associated transaction documents and tax ruling applications. He regularly provides advice to different types of business associations in the complex areas of tax consolidation, capital gains, debt/equity, TOFA, debt forgiveness, international tax, and loss utilisation. He also assists clients with ATO reviews, audits, objections and litigation.Chris is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia and a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He graduated in 2009 from Deakin University with Bachelor of Commerce and Law degrees and from Melbourne University with a Master of Laws in 2012. Chris is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and The Tax Institute.
