Chris is a Senior Manager within the Professional Services Division of Mandiant. He is responsible for leading incident response investigations and managing the Mandiant Labs (M-Labs) research and malware analysis team.He has led high visibility investigations into the theft of intellectual property and PCI information, and developed remediation strategies to remove sophisticated attackers from client networks. When not leading investigations, Chris instructed and presented on incident response subjects at security conferences such as Black Hat, DoD Cyber Crime Conference, and CounterMeasure.

Chris was the incident response duty expert and responsible for coordinating efforts with Joint Task Force Global Network Operations, service level CERTs/CIRTs, and Naval Criminal Investigative Services.During his time there, Chris advanced the USMC incident response capability by developing processes and tools utilized during intrusion investigations across the worldwide deployment of USMC networks and communities of interest.
