The launch of the club's sustainability strategy, 'The Halo Effect,' in January 2021 provided me with invaluable insights into sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the realms of business and elite sports. Through this experience, I gained knowledge in:- Developing sustainability strategies for sports and businesses, including net-zero strategies.- Understanding ISO Standards such as ISO20121 and ISO14001:2015.- Implementing Sustainable Travel Planning and Sustainable Procurement practices.During my internship, I researched the club's scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions and devised an innovative travel model aimed at achieving a 50% reduction in carbon emissions for all away fixtures by 2030, aligning with the UNFCCC's Sports For Climate Action Framework. The project focused on reporting and minimising emissions based on the five key principles.This effort culminated in my thesis titled, "Transforming the Saints from Red to Green: An Evaluation of the Carbon Impact of Southampton Football Club's Away Fixtures."

As the Treasurer for the University of Southampton Golf Club between 2020-2022, my role saw me handle and distribute thousands of pounds worth of university funding throughout the club to ensure it thrived within the university setting.As part of my ventures, I gained valuable experience of the finances incorporated into a sports club and the skills required to ensure capital is invested in a sustainable way to ensure committees to come are able to build on the foundations that have been laid. Key endeavours:• Collaboration with Natwest to safeguard signatory handover of a business account • Application for funding through the University • Providing the University with bank statements/expenses • Organising and distributing University kit through third party providers • Organising and delivering internal events including the safeguarding of students • Managing all funds throughout the club
