Chris has focused his educational life on creative practices of story writing and filmmaking, as well as a variety of other specialised areas of the creative media industry. Most recently, Chris graduated from Falmouth University’s MA in Writing for Script and Screen where he achieved an overall distinction grade, honing his long-pursued craft and passion for screenwriting, while having his creative work produced to a professional standard. Earlier, in his studies at Leeds’ Northern Film School, Chris gained a wide variety of experience in various departmental roles, focusing on sound, editing and cinematography, before specialising in screenwriting. Chris achieved First Class Honours for his overall studies, and was awarded “The Andrew Hirschorn Memorial Prize for Most Inspiring Feature Length Screenplay” for his metafictional horror-comedy “Marghereaper”, which was also voted for production in its short-film form by students, following a slate of over twenty live pitches. Chris was also awarded "Best Moving Image Student" in his college-level Film and Television production course. Chris’ most recent employment experience is in a video-based copy editing role at Jelly Smack, one of the largest players in the content creation space. In this role, Chris proofread captions for thousands of videos, ensuring perfect spelling, grammar and punctuation throughout all content, whilst working within brand-specific style guidelines. Chris achieved a consistently high work output and quality check score in this role, and his work reached massive audiences, many videos amassing tens of millions of views within weeks of their publication.
