Lead division of Pitt IT within the Client Services division that includes Enterprise & Departmental Applications, EndPoint, A/V support, training, and Drop-in support desks for both faculty/staff and students. Work with internal and external vendors to evaluate, procure & implement emerging technologies and execute special projects in coordination with goals and mission of the faculty, staff and students.In November 2021, began serving in newly created IT Business Partner role as part of the successful integration of the Pitt Business IT Team into the central University IT organization (Pitt IT). Served as the strategic IT leader and partner between Pitt IT and Pitt Business, assisting with complex initiatives and establishing a shared vision for future technology needs while aligning Pitt IT best practices, software, and solutions to Pitt Business.

Founded and created new restaurant with vision to serve as catalyst for main street revitalization and historic preservation in local community. Purchased and renovated 115 year-old property, secured over $750K in financing to purchase, adapt historic property, and start-up for new fine dining restaurant location. Secured property on local, regional and national Historic Registers, as well as procured federal historic tax credits. Sourced, recruited and hired contractors, vendors and employees (over 20). Created and executed marketing strategy that generated regional, state and national-wide press, including partnerships with James Beard Foundation, Verizon and Walmart. Over $1M in sales first full year of business (2019). Sold interests with a positive return on investment.

Created IT Department. Chair IT Committee, Student IT Advisory Committee, advise Dean on technical issues and serve on University –decision making committees. Major projects include complete re-design and rebuild of website, overhaul of classroom technology in all classrooms and courtrooms and implementation of video conferencing and lecture capture.

Oversee all College of Liberal Arts and Sciences IT-related activities including budget, project management, desktop support, website, server management, software distribution, computer lab and research resources. Work with internal and external vendors to evaluate and implement emerging technologies and execute special projects in coordination with goals and mission of the 400+ faculty and 100+ staff member College. Chair College IT Committee, advise Dean on technical issues and serve on University –decision making committees.

Manage and maintain College computer lab hardware, software and images (200+ PCs and some Macs). Design and maintain College website(s). Co-administer Microsoft Windows Active Directory Domain, OUs, Windows 2000 and 2003 servers (DC, File, Print and IIS) and network of 400+ computers and 400+ users. Administer Microsoft SharePoint online communication and collaboration tool. Diagnose and resolve IT technical problems. Provide email, phone and on-site technical support and training to faculty and staff.

Lead professional staff of 4 FTE and workflow of claims processing and imaging operations. Technical liaison between staff, programmers, vendors, and upper management. Recommend and execute solutions to technical problems within current processing system.

Provided primary company desktop/user support, and maintained/ upgraded computer software, hardware, network, and Windows NT server/domain. Supervised and assisted staff of 4 FTE in developing document imaging indexing or databases for clients (mostly law firms). Managed workflow on litigation and commercial projects. Consulted with clients on technical challenges.
