My internship at Storm Petrel, LLC became a full time position as an Account Manager. My responsibilities include finding and cultivating leads, managing the Storm Petrel, LLC website, and assuming sales responsibilities of the company.

The primary emphasis of my internship with Storm Petrel, LLC is applying business and marketing skills including: short videos that demonstrate our products, short instructional videos, updating twitter, blogs, website, updating our leads database, tracking sales leads, and other duties as they appear. Other duties include testing software and working with clients.

I was responsible for transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming guest reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from guests.

Cashier / Food Prep / and Accounting Assistant at the newly opened in-house store at the Yankee Fisherman's CooperativeMy responsibilities included:- keeping track of the seafood brought in directly from local fisherman, along with the inventory in the warehouse- cleaning the store and maintaining sanitary conditions - prepping the food, which included steaming lobsters and filleting fish- speaking to customers and helping them with their order, packing large orders for regular customers- answering the phone for orders and inquires - managing the cash in the register and making sure at the end of the day that our revenue matched our sales.

I worked as an understudy to Joan White, the Development Director at CVOEO, to draw fundraisers and raise awareness for the administrative branch of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO). As part of a course at Champlain College, I was required to write up weekly diary submissions about my experience and what I learned there. I learned that non-profits, especially the larger ones, need to diversify their funding, establish themselves as highly visible, make connections with other businesses and non-profits, establish a gift pyramid, and engage and cultivate individual donors.
