Infrastructure Systems Manager
CurrentManage two direct reports in overseeing administration and maintenance of network infrastructure, which includes ensuring security of data and network access, administering WAN, and monitoring of internal systems. Plan and implement additions, deletions and major modifications to national infrastructure. Manage disaster recovery and backup procedures. Manage secure access for remote users. Manage company’s telephone system at national level; oversee telephone changes, including circuit installation, call routing, and extension assignment. Recruit, train, and coach employees. Communicate goals and conduct annual performance reviews.• Planned and implemented two major infrastructure replacements at company’s two largest facilities, involving architectural changes, replacement of multiple layer 3 and 2 switches, new security appliances, and building site-to-site VPN and Client VPN services. Significantly improved security boundary design and system isolation with newer, faster, and better supported hardware, while improving overall security posture.• Led multi-year project to replace outdated WAN connections, moving company WAN connections from dedicated MPLS to standard Internet bandwidth utilizing, fiber, cable and DSL modem that lowered telecommunications costs by 60%.• Spearheaded multi-year project to replace outdated digital phone systems at four largest facilities that facilitated connecting systems to allow station-to-station calls from one facility to another and seamless transfer of clients. Built call routing system to deliver incoming calls to correct departments, presenting as a single presence to clients and vendors. Competed project on time and under budget.
