Specific focus was on the 1-D implementation of CBET in the hydro-code LILAC used at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics. The corona quarter-critical conditions from LILAC were taken to a 2-D simulation using OSIRIS to investigate the impact of LPI on the generation of hot electrons from parametric instabilities theorized to occur in this region near or lower than the quarter-critical density.
