Expanded available training opportunities and continuing medical education to support an unprecedented annual throughput of 12,000 students by mandating various administrative efficiency projects and measures. Directed the collaboration with the Center for Information Dominance and Enlisted Technical Leaders in creating and promoting Navy Medicine Enlisted occupations on the Navy Credentialing Opportunities Online portal. Guided the creation of the first guidance document on using blended learning solutions in optimizing training delivery for Navy Medicine. Directed the creation of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, coordinate and develop the use of patient simulation supporting safe patient care in Navy Medicine.

Senior Navy Medicine representative on the Healthcare Executive Council (HEC) Continuing Education Workgroup, a collaborative body of DoD / VA Healthcare members dedicated to optimizing the sharing of training resources. Facilitated the sharing of over $12 million dollars of training. Navy Medicine Representative on the Shared Training Coordination Committee, a subsidiary of the HEC Continuing Education Workgroup. Assisted in the development of policy and procedures to facilitate the sharing of existing training resources and the joint creation of training programs.

Reduced patient wait time for nurse call backs by 50 percent by coordinating the use of electronic consultations with the TRICARE Appointment Clerks. Transformed laboratory section into receiving an “Outstanding” rating from Joint Commission by providing detailed oversight and guidance.

Orchestrated the design, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive training program for over 4,500 staff members in the move to the 1.5 million square foot Charrette Health Care Center. Achieved a 99.8 percent training attendance rate and facilitated the ability to deliver healthcare within 24 hours of move-in by directing the development of comprehensive training program. Established network of 110 area specific training representatives, providing them hands on consultation in developing their specific training plans. Utilized computer-based, video-based, and hands-on training to familiarize staff with over 80,000 new pieces of equipment, state-of-the-art facility systems and new business operations in caring for patients.
