Chris is a recognized national leader in the long term care area, playing a role in developing long term care policy at both the state and national levels. He currently serves as a Vice-Chair of the American Health Care Association's Legal Subcommittee, is a member of its Survey and Regulatory Commite, and has participated on AHCA's Medicaid Reform and Survey Reform Task Forces. In my position, I was responsible for the collection and dissemination of current information about legislative, regulatory, and legal policy issues affecting the practices and operations of members, including the development of solutions to address those issues. I have an excellent knowledge of both state and federal regulatory and legislative processes. Legislative program responsibilities include policy and position development with other staff members and Association leadership, drafting of all legislation, and lobbying of Association positions to legislators.
