I believe that cities and communities are the key to a sustainable future. Throughout my career, I have focused on organizational, citywide, and regional sustainability solutions, with a particular emphasis on equitable strategies to combat global climate change. Nowadays, we call this ESG (environmental, social, and governance); it's been my exclusive focus for the last 15 years. I am a nationally recognized expert on urban sustainability, and am honored to have my leadership recognized as Coro Southern California's 2022 Lead LA Alumni Honoree.I have had the distinct privilege of leading the award-winning sustainability plan for the nation's most populous county (Los Angeles), the long-term climate action plan and environmental justice reports for the nation's most populous city (New York), and a wide array of progressive clients across the government, higher education, corporate, and non-profit sectors. My professional interests and areas of expertise include climate and environmental justice, housing, decarbonization, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), .Trained in urban planning at MIT, I thrive in multidisciplinary teams. I believe in sound processes, authentic engagement, and the necessity of combining tactical interventions with systems change thinking.
