John Ratcliffe's appointment to Director of National Intelligence, nearly 20 candidates competed in a special election primary in which 150 county and precinct chairs determined the outcome. Developed a website and mailers, spoke at public forums, interacted with individuals, created content for talking points, fund-raised and accounted for campaign payments.

Upon Congressman Murphy's resignation, coordinated with Markwayne Mullin's office, which assumed the bill, reintroduced it as HR 6082, and it passed the House June 20, 2018 on a 357-57 vote.
