As a Higher Education Opportunities Program (HEOP) tutor I worked one-on-one with minority students who were mainly from low-income households . My responsibilities included but were not limited to; aiding students in the development of resumes and CVs by highlighting their academic, and personal achievements. I organized small tutoring groups that encouraged team-work and group learning in order to foster community and provide a comfortable learning environment. I developed personal profiles with students to help them organize their time, coordinate extracurricular activities, and achieve academic goals.
