As a Naval Submarine Offcier, I served as Electrical Assistant, Main Propulsion Assistant, Sonar Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Battle-stations OOD. I was placed second in charge of 60 technicians in recognition of superior organizational and leadership abilities. Achieved a 100% success rate on fulfilling all operational needs. Ensured completion of hundreds of corrective & preventive maintenance jobs including a multi-million dollar main shaft replacement. Acquisitioned parts, planned operational/logistical needs, and ensured quality control and assurance to keep plant running at full capacity. Conducted interviews and quantitative analysis to write a new procedure for draining the sonar dome pier-side for emergent repairs, a 6,900 gallon water-filled void normally drained in dry-dock; immediate implementation resulted in an on-time deployment and millions of dollars in dry-dock cost savings. I was recognized for exceptional performance enabling closeout of all supervised refit periods (extensive 30 day, 60,000 man-hour maintenance periods) early as the officer responsible for the quality control and internal monitoring of repairs and testing of ship's safety systems integral to the survival of 180 crew members.
