As Associate Director, I make every effort to strengthen the Currie & Brown, Quantity Surveying team. I am part of a larger regional team of industry professionals operating across the United States, and will provide support to colleagues ensuring a high and consistent standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing an appropriate level of knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider. Within this position, I bring leadership, discipline and extensive real‐world acumen to my projects including cost planning and project controls. I am committed to providing my clients with measurable results that enhance their ability to make choices with clarity and confidence, while maximizing value.This function involves management of client and project teams to deliver profitable, quantity surveying services, in a timely manner to a wide range of clients. Within this role I deliver the full spectrum of quantity surveying services, including tender review and contractor selection, reconciliation, value management, functional cost analysis and post tender services comprising elements such as cost reporting, independent change order reviews and negotiations as well as project monitoring.I assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities and work as a proactive team player, I maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects and liaising with other managers and directors to ensure efficient financial control while delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner. I consistently represent the company in a professional and diligent approach while meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships in true partnership.

My role as an APC mentor is to provide volunteer support to candidates; including assisting candidates in their preparation for assessment. In brief, my role is to:• Advise candidates on training, experience and the assessment interview. • Encourage candidates to read the APC guides so that they are familiar with the requirements and administration of the APC.• Provide guidance based upon my own experience of the APC process
