Membership Services, Legislative Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Public Relations, Communications, and Issue AdvocacyKey legislative successes include the passage of the following laws: Reverse Rate Evasion, Electronic Proof of Insurance, Modernizaton of Insurer Solvency Requirements, and Privacy Protections for Vehicle Data.Additonal legislative victories include Committee Release of the following legislation: Estabilishing Insurance and Safety Standards for Transportation Network Companies, Salvage Title Reforms, and Litigation Funding Reform.Acomplishments in Government Affairs also means slowing or stopping the legislative progress, or seeking a Gubernatorial Veto, on legislation that would negatively impact an organization. In this role, our organization has achieved success on increasing the COLA for workers' compensation, increasing attorney's fee awards for workers' compensation, preventing the creation of seperate classes of workers or drivers in the insurance system, along with numerous onerous bills for the property casualty industry.

-Responsible for building relationships and providing guidance on policy matters to state and local elected officials in 10 counties.-Served as a resource of information for municipalities, businesses, and individuals involved in the federal grant process.-Acted as the Governor’s liaison to the senior citizen community throughout New Jersey, establishing contact with over 300 age-restricted communities and 250 senior centers.-Coordinated, planned, and promoted open public forums with the Governor, and served as event liaison between the Governor and local officials.-Organized all incoming resolutions and letters from elected officials for review by legal counsel.

-Interacted with legislators and legislative staff to advance the trade association’s agenda.-Successfully lobbied for the passage of The First Right of Refusal Act, the most comprehensive protection for motor fuel franchisees in the United States.-Created publication materials to promote the association’s legislative and regulatory initiatives.-Established an innovative fundraising system which increased the association’s intake, and allowed for greater donations to political and public awareness campaigns.
