Described and logged oriented Proterozoic metamorphic and volcanic drill core for the Antler Mine VMS deposit near Yucca, Arizona. Drafted PEA and developed a logging manual and protocols for core loggers, managed QA/QC of each logger’s work, prepared sample shipments, and managed cutting and storage of core by technicians. Communicated with drillers daily and supervised drilling operations including: lining up drill rigs, conducting downhole surveys using IMDEX tools, set wedges using Boart Longyear tools, and flagged boundaries for drill pads and new road construction. Conducted field mapping, reconnaissance of abandoned prospects and mines, and project generation of unexplored and/or previously explored areas. Installed water monitoring piezometers in completed drill holes, managed database and organization/inventory of pulps. Drafted cross-sections to better interpret local geology and structure. Performed multiple soil and silt sampling campaigns at various prospects.

Described and logged volcanic-volcaniclastic drill core, logged clay alteration using ASD TerraSpec Halo gun, and developed a facies and lithostratigraphic nomenclature for the Hog Heaven porphyry copper deposit in northern Montana.

Described Proterozoic Belt sedimentary drill core, recorded core orientation, measured recovery/RQD and magnetic susceptibility, recorded structures, performed XRF mineral analysis, specific gravity measurements, sampled and photographed core for the Black Butte Copper project at Tintina/Sandfire Resources America, Montana.

Performed well-site geology describing and logging drill cuttings, monitoring and collecting gas data, and providing subsurface location and stratigraphic dip using real time gamma-ray and offset well correlation.Experience working in the Williston Basin, ND, Bighorn/Elk Basin, WY, Powder River Basin, WY and Piceance Basin, CO. Logged cuttings and drill core from surface through Pre-Cambrian basement in Center, ND for the Minnkota Power Co-Op and Project Tundra CO2 injection well.

On-site supervision and assistance with decommissioning of abandoned oil and gas wells. Monitoring of wells for CH4, H2S, CO, O2 and CO2 to classify and comply with American Carbon Registry and EPA regulations pre- and post-closure.

Conducted research on the Devonian Duperow Formation at Kevin Dome in collaboration with the Big Sky Carbon Sequestration Partnership (BSCSP) and Energy Research Institute at Montana State University.Logged sediment cores from Great Salt Lake to determine potential controls of dolomite formation in hypersaline environments and performed XRD analysis and photography of grains using SEM and TEM machines to classify mineralogy and chemical make-up.
