At reStart, we exist to end homelessness in Kansas City. To do so, we believe we must serve and accept everyone. We tackle homelessness from all angles of the housing continuum. With more than four decades of steadfast dedication to ending homelessness, reStart uses our experience and insight to mobilize our teams, partners and larger community to address this urgent and growing need. We advocate for, and instill hope in, the most vulnerable members of our community.

Welcome to Keystone Community Corporation (KCC), an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2018. We are dedicated to bringing together educators, corporations, entrepreneurs, and the community to foster a diverse and thriving innovation community in downtown Kansas City. At KCC, we believe that innovation knows no boundaries and should transcend industry verticals. Our mission is to create a collaborative environment where ideas can flourish and positive change can take shape.

Spring 2024: Resource Development for Social Impact

• Managed all prospect research, donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation. Oversaw the development department, including creating/maintaining the development plan. • Planned and managed three major special events including the Magic of Hope Gala, Heroes of Hope Breakfast, and Tee Off Against Domestic Violence. Involved cultivating/soliciting sponsors, event logistics, volunteer management, and more.• Researched grant funding opportunities and completed grants that allowed for continued financial support and growth of Hope Haven and its programs. • Coordinated the selection of drives for volunteers, scheduled and coordinated training, and determined the use of volunteers for both direct and indirect services. Provided assistance and oversight to volunteers as needed.• Managed all forms of social media, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Managed all marketing content including Hope Haven’s website, blog posts, email communications, mailings, and more. Accomplishments• Established second signature event, Heroes of Hope Breakfast, which increased special events revenue by 33% the first year. Saw a 60% increase in revenue the second year the event was held. • Increased individual giving by 313% and corporate giving by 200% after the first full year at the organization.

• Managed $250,000 Annual Fund, developed solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship content. Assisted in tracking donors, developing donor reports, and measuring annual fund progress.• Oversaw two National Volunteer Committees, consisting of monthly conference calls and weekly emails, working with 40+ National Volunteers.• Composed monthly grants, created content/published annual fund donors for four publications (circulation 9,000+).• Solicited corporate sponsorship, cultivated current donors, generated annual appeals, direct mailing, and thank you letters.• Managed four National Programs, including two grant administration programs, two scholarship programs, and 140+ National Affiliates involved with the organization. Submitted, reviewed, and analyzed program reports.Accomplishments• Secured Sertoma's first National Partner for signature event CELEBRATE SOUND.

• Managed a volunteer database, recorded volunteer hours, and assisted with service project planning at the University. • Answered phones and completed administrative tasks as needed.

• Provided crisis intervention and advocacy to callers on the hotline and in the shelter. • Facilitated services and activities that promoted a healthy, safe, and positive living environment.• Operated the security system alerts and functions. • Collaborated across programs within a multi-disciplinary team as well as external systems.

• Supported existing donor relations initiatives while also creating new donor cultivation activities. • Initiated phone calls, letters and emails to donors with the primary goal of expressing appreciation for their support, and to further connect them to the mission.• Assisted with prospect and tribute research, while also using Raiser's Edge to document communication with donors and update their records.

• Led three Girl Scout troops. Held weekly meetings.• Planned activities for each Girl Scout Troop.
