I currently teach Public Health Law as part of the University of Maryland’s Master of Science in Law program. My course covers the legal aspects of public health interventions, probing the legal powers and limitations policy makers face when trying to improve public health outcomes.

Served as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Foundation for Trusted Identity (FTI). I helped set FTI’s vision for organizational expansion and worked to execute FTI’s growth strategy. Helping manage that growth required wearing a lot of different hats, including managing procurement, accounting, customer on-boarding, technical support, marketing, legal compliance, policy advocacy, training and exercise, inventory management, etc. I managed a team of three amazing people on a tight-knit team working on interesting problems every day.FTI is a cybersecurity software company specializing in making federally trusted credentials accessible to first responders and emergency managers. It is a rapidly expanding technology startup, going from a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) pilot program to a thriving company with dozens of customers and a national footprint.

Provide legal representation to low-income clients with a wide variety of tax related issues, including: • Non-Profit and Corporate Filings • Negotiation of Tax Settlements and Payment Plans • Income, Dependent, and Qualifying-Child Disputes

Worked with small non-profit in the areas of foreclosure rescue fraud and sustainable home ownership, assisted with: • Litigation of pilot cases under the newly-passed Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act (PHIFA) • Staffing of pro-bono legal services referral hot-line • Preparation and presentation of continuing legal education seminars and training programs in the area of Maryland Foreclosure Law

Helped with the establishment of a new law firm focused on Colorado water law, assisted with:• Litigation of transfer and change-of-use cases • Negotiations for the sale of land with water rights • Small business setup and estate planning

Worked with international team that allocated, audited and accounted for over $2 billion in freight cost. Duties included:• Auditing freight cost documentation, shipment contracts and agreements • Processing over-payment refunds • Process documentation of over-payment refund process
