I’m a costume/prop-maker and charity cosplayer living in Manhattan, Kansas. I pattern and sew costumes from scratch, modify and model, 3D print and paint armor and accessories, and recently began learning makeup and latex work. Sometimes I buy components for my costume builds or an entire costume. Mostly, I use my cosplay to create moments of real and spontaneous joy for people. Over the past few years, I’ve discovered that I love cosplaying for charitable causes and I’ve been a member of the Just-Us League for a couple of years. I’m also seeking official membership in the Mandalorian Mercs, a Star Wars costume club specifically for Mandalorians.These groups are 501c3 Charity Organizations that both participate in events and fundraising for charities focused on kids & families; especially for those with severe/terminal illness, those dealing with poverty, or those with special needs. They participate in suicide prevention, foster care, and cancer awareness and support events. They use their costuming as a means to make the lives of others better and to fundraise for organizations that do life-saving and life-changing work.
