The colleges of business and engineering at Auburn University cooperated in a Rome Summer Consulting project for students interested in business or engineering. My team was composed of one other engineering student and three business students. Rait88 has been an Italian Military contractor for years, and they now want to expand into the consumer market. I was elected team leader of our project called "Man Down". Our project focused on optimizing a safety device for lone workers in the field. Using sensors and wireless connectivity capabilities, the "Man Down" device can detect if a worker goes down on the job and where he/she is located. The company showed us their current prototype and asked us to provide feedback on the technology as well as the marketability of the device. We wrote an extensive report, including a detailed technological evaluation and market analysis. We also created a Powerpoint presentation to sum up our results.

I worked for Dr. Daniel Kim with his graduate students. We created composite materials for wearable electronics, specifically gas sensors. I synthesized, coated and analyzed composite materials on flexible substrates.

I was the communication between the kitchen and customer and assisted delivering food to catering events.
