Simply put: Chris' passion is building and leading teams to solve complex problems. Currently, Chris is leading multidisciplinary studies to support regulatory permitting and design of a greenfield tailings facility at the Pueblo Viejo Mine in the Dominican Republic.In few sentences: Chris Tingley is a geological engineer with over ten years of experience in various sectors including mining, pipelines, railways, and hydro-electric power. His career has been focused on mine waste and tailings dam projects at various phases from feasibility through to detailed design, construction, and operation. He has managed and led multidisciplinary technical teams of up to 50 engineers and geoscientists on tailings projects. Chris has acted as technical lead for a broad variety of scopes including site investigation, geotechnical characterization, tailings facility and dam design, construction quality assurance (QA), performance monitoring, dam safety inspections, and presentations to external technical review boards and regulatory agencies.
