I then incorporate those ideas into the documents, plans and structures I prepare.My best clients are small and medium-sized businesses, particularly those providing professional services (i.e., doctors, dentists, chiropractors, etc.). The owners of these businesses generally have both complex business and estate planning needs that require carefully planning to ensure their goals are properly realized. Other great clients of my firm are start-ups - those businesses that start out with a great idea but need assistance in getting their idea off the ground. These clients present unique opportunities because they need help in all aspects of their businesses, from legal structuring to capital raising to marketing. I enjoy working with the founders not to create anything (that's their job) but to support their efforts in building viable and successful enterprises.I am licensed to practice in Washington and Oregon, but my firm represents clients in other states and foreign countries, including Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, South America and Europe. I am also expanding my practice into other areas of Asia such as the Peoples Republic of China and Taiwan. I work directly with importers and exporters to create better business flows with minimal legal and tax restraints. My goal is to serve as a resource for other to get their dreams off the ground, to provide them with the legal and tax tools necessary to gain confidence in their venture, and the connections and networks vital to their success.
