Designed and applied a NGS panel (CAPP-Seq) to profile circulating tumour dna in aggressive lymphoid malignancies, targeted at both B and T-cell cases. Carried out the full pipeline including consenting the patients, drawing blood, to the bioinformatics and tertiary analysis. Gained masses of experience with this project, all while carrying out a full time position from my second year as a research associate at the university of Cambridge. To assist with funding this project, I also swam the English Channel solo raising over £13,000 for the main charity body funding this work, Hope Against Cancer. I published three case studies and one cohort paper during my time as a student.

Recruited / volunteered to assist with QC and qPCR analysis on SARS-Cov 2 swabs from Leicestershire and surrounding areas, as support during the peak of the pandemic while studying my PhD.

Carrying out a clinical research encompassing detection of relapse, subtype, resistance and cell of origin in lymphoma patients across the midlands, by deep-sequencing circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) from serial plasmas and tumours where available. Solely responsible from end to end, performing the consent of the patients, sample collection including phlebotomy, processing, sequencing and bioinformatic analysis of the project.
