As Vice President, Christopher managed the operations of Martin-Lauer Associates, the leading political and non-profit consulting firm in Maryland. In this role he guided MLA’s top clients through each phase of their campaign by developing and implementing winning strategies, messaging (including press coverage and rapid response), and fundraising plans. Responsibilities also included handling all aspects of research, outreach, relationship management between elected officials and candidates for office and individuals/organizations, legal compliance, and planning and staging fundraising and other events ranging from 5 to 500 attendees. Along with the President, Christopher established MLA’s strategies and direction, as well as generated new revenues by attracting clients and expanding services.

Prepared and disseminated timely state-level information to local elected officials and district offices statewide through advisories, website, and social media updates. Initiated, coordinated, and presented briefings to and staffed the Governor and Lt. Governor as required. Led in the coordination of donation and volunteer management policy and planning activities to support disaster relief efforts in the State of Maryland.
