I work at intersections where people with very different backgrounds come together to build things, like products, communities, or networks, that move the world forward. I love developing a concept and building systems to execute.Currently, I lead the effort to bring pre-competitive computer modeling to the cultivated meat industry via an industry consortium called the CMMC. Together, we source pre-competitive challenges, create roadmaps for impact, and build modeling solutions that shorten the path to the consumer table. Ours is a sophisticated community of scientists, engineers, and business people working effectively across boundaries. It's my job to keep us in sync.I also work to design and facilitate workshops where people come together to tackle complex systems challenges. Most recently, I've worked with UFacilitate along with experts from Penn State, World Health, CDC, and the WHO, among others, to validate the value proposition for a "One Health" approach to disease surveillance and control in multiple regions around the globe. My current areas of study include game design, and designing and building VR/AR and MR applicationsBy night, you can find me on the theatre stage, the silver screen, or in the sound booth, producing/directing a dramatized fantasy fiction podcast, or coding a series of games for mobile.---Concept Development | 0->1Concept/product development is an iterative loop: sourcing from the imagination, building a case, closing gaps, busting assumptions and continuously prototyping. It's easy to lose our focus. Communicating the Big Why becomes a practice. We have to remind each other over and over again how all the messy moving parts fit together, and for what purpose... with patience, compassion, and curiosity.

Founder/ConsultantHover Consulting Group Jan 2014 - Jun 2019At HCG, I help organizations who sense that their operating paradigm and structures aren't serving their purpose. I help organizations get very clear about where to focus their energy to make change--and as is so often the case, these leverage points are neither intuitive nor obvious. I facilitate system-wide conversations that harness an organization's innate brilliance and liberate their energy. My goal: to build capacity everywhere I go, so the organization is more creative and capable than when I arrived.
