Barnes Dennig provides tax, accounting, and business advisory services for a variety of clients throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. As a tax intern at Barnes Dennig, I was responsible for accurately and efficiently completing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations. I also had to ensure all clients were in compliance with state, federal, and local tax regulations. Finally, I had to maintain a constant line of communication with clients and other associates to ensure we were on schedule. This role helped prepare me for the rigors of tax accounting by working through the busiest months of the year and I also learned many of the technical skills that will be useful in my career.

First of all, I worked with a team to process and ship out over 150,000 packages every night. I also learned and worked with other employees on the new ONET processing technology. At IU RPS Dining, I worked in Gresham Hall as a representative for both RPS and Indiana University. In this role, I led a team in assembling sandwiches every morning to be sent around campus. Further, I assisted in serving over 20,000 customers per week. I also counted and stocked inventory to help make the dining hall run more efficiently and effectively and helped staff members in preparing the kitchen for daily operations.
