Provided support for the CIT Cloud Services Project as a member of the NIH Cloud Services Team. Key contributions included: • Providing real-time support for tickets submitted through the Jira-Confluence solution to gather performance metrics and facilitate internal trouble ticket migration to the ServiceNow platform. • Offering subject matter expertise on multi-cloud solutions for shared services, and submitting feedback on these solutions to the NIH Enterprise and supporting research agencies. • Engaging with the Microsoft Federal Services Team to integrate the Azure Government Cloud Service into NIH CIT's multi-cloud domain as part of the planned NIH service solution portal. • Planning VPC environments in accordance with compliance planning and FISMA regulations. • Gathering Cloud Formation scripts for the CIT Gitub repository. • Defining and documenting infrastructure, including estimated builds using technical diagrams. • Assisting in the deployment of a secured environment in AWS GovCloud for HIPPA compliance applications

I currently serve on in the DevOps Engineering group to implement Disaster As a Service (DRaaS) for The Centers for Medicare and Medicade Services (CMS). That includes integrating a physical Hybrid Infrastructure with AWS to provide services for a World Class Cloud service.

Provided technical expertise migrating Solaris to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) onto VMWare and Amazon Web Services and part of the S2L Migration project. Amtrak Architecture Enterprise Services (AES) adopted Red Hat Enterprise Linux as a strategic system for application hosting. This was a cost reduction effort, with responsibilities to manage continuous delivery of virtual systems to avoid bubble cost. Working the application owners, where possible, to understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation of their new environments with internal Amtrak compliance rules.

I created and developed cloud based servers for testing, staging/pre-production and production environments for NASA WestPrime fixed cost contract to migrate both public and private web based communications. I was the Lead Engineer leading a four person team to implement the Enterprise monitoring tools as well and lay the initial framework for internal Tier 2 and Tier 3 help desk support, incident response, and problem-management and service-ordering systems with NASA’s I3P Enterprise Service Desk

Responsible for the development of the operational backbone of the Amazon Elastic Cloud based infrastructure to host data analysis software and reporting tools. Responsible for developing possible variants of a functional private/public cloud with OpenStack Compute, including a focus on cost utilization of using a functional cluster stack utilizing S3 and EBS storage with focus on scalability. Directly responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into technical solutions leveraging technologies. Duties include integration of virtual storage to physical servers and developing cost performance metrics for operation funding proposals.

Responsibilities consisted of integrating Microsoft Windows Servers domains in support of global service operations for Northern Europe, South America and Oceania. Directly responsible to alert executive management and business engineers to prevent downtime loss of revenue. Solely my responsible for monitoring and assisting in IT Management with network providers and worldwide administrators as one of six engineers with technicians staffing a 24/7 global command center dedicated to restoration of revenue bleeding outages. Global Command Center operations were monitored for holistic health and maximum capability of LAN/WAN circuits and production operations. All incidents were logged with ratings-based tickets and any troubleshooting of problems were under my direct authority. All business units and operations engineers were available to the GCC to support in the restoration of production and were logged for review to assist in proactive heuristic policies.

Senior Analyst on Global Infrastructure Team contributing system engineering for global operations with responsibility for planning, budgeting and installation of hardware tension in support of local and global operations for approximately 800 servers for business units with the Corning Valley. Implemented two overseas deployments in Tainan City Taiwan, and Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
