Brigade Operations Officer
Materiel Support Command-Korea, Camp Carroll, Republic Of Korea
Responsible for synchronizing planning, training, resourcing, and executing support operations in a brigade comprised of four battalions dispersed across the Republic of Korea. Developed operational plans in support of contingency operations in Korea. Analyzed, assessed, and managed the training requirements of subordinate battalions and developed the brigade’s annual and quarterly training guidance. Coordinated with staffs of higher, lower, supporting, supported, and adjacent units. Synchronized sustainment support to supported units during Armistice and Contingency operations. Led the brigade staff in the Military Decision Making Process for the plan to the updated Eight United States Army Operations Plan. Planned, executed, and supervised the brigade’s participation in multiple theater-level simulations to include Ulchi Freedom Guardian 17, Key Resolve 17, and Noncombatant Evacuation Operations exercises. Developed the concept of support for the Combined/Joint Logistics-Over-The-Shore operation incorporating United States Transportation Command, United States Forces Korea, Republic of Korea Army, and United States Navy and Marine Corps personnel. Led the brigade After Action Review for each of the exercises to capture “best practices” and “lessons learned” for inclusion into future training exercises.
