Deputy City Attorney- San Francisco International Airport Team
Current• Collaborating with wide variety of working groups to forward the strategic goals of the Airport, including revenue development and management (concessions), aviation management (airlines), marketing & communications and information technology. • Negotiating and drafting all manner of real estate and other transaction documents, including leases, permits, easements, services and management agreements; drafting, reviewing and fine tuning of Commission memoranda and resolutions for award of lease and other contracts. • Identifying and succinctly presenting issues of major legal concern to General Counsel and Airport executive leadership arising in connection with all concession leases (retail, food & beverage, services) and the lease and use agreements with all Airport signatory airlines. • Reviewing and advising on lease requests for proposals, competitive process and governmental procurement requirements, and handling legal response to all contests by proposers. • Advising client on all tenant lease issues, including tenant build outs, renewals, lease assignments, events of default and draws upon security deposits, including letters of credit and bonds. • Collaborating with City Attorney Office (CAO) colleagues on issues involving Airport finance, construction & capital projects, environmental and land use issues; consulting with outside counsel for advice on airline and retail bankruptcy matters. • Collaborating with CAO colleagues on litigation matters affecting the Airport, including enforcement of Airport rules and regulations pertaining to novel ground transportation issues. • Strategizing with client on implementation of COVID-19 rent relief for SFO concession tenants and distribution of federal stimulus; authored municipal ordinance implementing same.
