About Christoph Sapinsky

I am a veteran game designer and been in the game Industry since 2002. I have worked as a designer on 6 published games including 3 triple-A titles. I was already a gamer geek long before I started my design career, I began playing Pen & Paper RPGs in 1989. In 2018-19 kickstarted Free Spacer, a sandbox sci-fi tabletop RPG about science, investigation, & adventure as a contractor in a sector-wide cold war. Currently, I'm working on another TTRPG called Thaumaturgy — A Roleplaying Game of the Scholarly Art Mathematical. I am passionate about designing consistent game mechanics, systems, and narratives that express compelling concepts, themes, and stories.

    Random Alien Games is Christoph Sapinsky. A tabletop and video game designer in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Christoph’s started with video games in the 1980s. He had a sega master system and a red box of D&D.Christoph began making games in 2002 as a game designer in the video game industry. More recently, he combined his passion for tabletop RPGs with his game design expertise to create Free Spacer.On September 18th 2018, the Free Spacer Kickstarter was a success. With Lisa Sapinsky as Art Director, Karen Twelves as Development Editor, and Alex Roberts as Proofreader, we completed the core book. To accompany it, I lead a group of designers—Melody Watson, Kira Magrann, and Johnstone Metzger—to make the Free Spacer Sector Archive with the help of Lisa Sapinsky as Art Director, Karen Twelves as Development Editor, and Matthew Seagle as Proofreader. 11 months later I fulfilled all backer orders for both the core book and the Sector Archives.
