Abstract Artist
Currenthttp://vandaelechristoph.weebly.com/"My work is about passion and expressing joy. By putting my creative heart first I hope to experience art on a spiritual level. I desire to join with the oneness during the creative process, to produce art forms that deeply express this union and are a true manifestation of my experience. My goal is to be moved, and in turn move you. If I am inspired by the the filtered rays of light, living shapes, and unbelievable color palette right at sunset I do not desire to recreate the sunset as art. I desire to dwell in the creation of art, the action of painting, with all the emotions and memories I feel admiring the creative source that is behind the sunset. In this sense my artwork is a product of emotions, a display of energy, a reaction to the light source." I am inspired by the quiet compositions of Mark Rothco, the chaotic layered lines of Jackson Pollock, and the luminous atmospheres of Clyfford Still. More recently, I have felt an affinity to Joseph Marioni's monochromatics, Joe Barnes' sensitive colour fields and Natvar Bhavsar's pure pigment paintings.Dramatic, atmospheric and totally captivating, Christoph's abstract paintings are internationally recognized and truly dynamic.Christoph's abstract paintings are deliberately not specific to any place or time.My aim is for the viewer to develop and build their own personal connections with each piece. Whether my images remind you of somewhere you have actually seen, or invoke a particular emotion or memory, i aim to balance both a sense of materialism and spiritualism through this abstraction. Indeed, as i start on a new painting, it begins on a journey through a host of emotions, which are carefully considered and expressed through both colour and form, offering the viewer a direct visual connection to his mind set.http://vandaelechristoph.weebly.com/
