The Testing Peers Podcast launched in May 2020.The four peers are active in the software testing community and found kindred spirits in each other, wishing to address topics in their everyday lives as leaders in software testing.

● Led a cross-functional, globally distributed team of consultants throughout discovery, calibration and scaling phases in our partnership with Vitality● Agile Testing advocacy and enablement throughout the organisation-wide SAFe 6.0 adoption● Co-ordinating successful, on-time delivery of POCs, project plans, documentation and workshops● Designing and implementing a living Enterprise Test Strategy, embedded in Confluence, collaborating with the client to ensure continued relevancy and shared-ownership● Facilitating RiskStorming workshops to create risk profiles and personas to inform product, development and test activities that are context-driven● Shaping relevant role profiles, interview screening and onboarding new joiners to the programme● Regularly and transparently communicating with the client, through updates, reports, reviews and workshops, appropriate to the audience, building a relationship of partnership, collaboration and trust

● Joined the tech leadership team at the design and foundations stage to establish quality practices from the beginning in our partnership with BA/IAG & McKinsey● Designed onboarding material to bring development teams and testers on board and on the same page● Established a Quality Community of Practice● Presented strategies and approaches, programme-wide and to sponsors● Built key client-side relationships from delivery, QA, Legal, Release and Product● Jira administration to quickly address tooling-informed ways of working● Participated in various asset-creation activities, including Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), Path to Live (PTL), Bug Handling Process, Versioning Approach, Automation Best Practices

● Defined and implemented a strategic consulting practice, specifically around QA and test automation, and how they aligned with our core offerings and markets● Proactively participated in the QA community through industry groups and events, and the creation of media content (talks, blogs, podcasts, articles & webinars)● Assessed customers’ QA practices and provided practical guidance on how to get started with, or improve their proficiency with quality practices, testing and automation● Created personas for existing users and potential new customers, to drive Product design and roadmap to deliver a quality product to market strategically● Assisted with the creation of high-quality training courses for the University of Provar (learning and education portal Provar.me) and Salesforce’s Trailhead, covering the range of skills and techniques used within quality management, test automation and related disciplines● Analysed industry trends, best practices, techniques, etc. across the QA and automated testing landscape to identify direction and consulting engagement opportunities in conjunction with other members of the organisation

● Established a quality function from the ground up, advocated for quality practices across the entire organisation and line-managed the distributed QA Engineers● Rebooted the product development team’s approach to agility; running whiteboarding sessions, introducing new ceremonies and eventually adopting a version of Scrum that best fit our culture● Ran workshops to establish high-level plans to inform processes, projects and strategies for testing, release, and automation● Facilitated RiskStorming sessions to highlight the key quality aspects of a given project, identifying risks and creating mitigation plans● Scrum Master, facilitated ceremonies, introducing Three Amigos (Three Hats) and Bug Triage processes, along with Jira administration to support new ways of working

● Newly created quality leadership role, to help ignite the quality culture across the Digital Platforms space● Line managed the permanent QA team by building relationships and creating bespoke PDPs● Managed and reviewed the workload for the offshore consultants to place people on the right projects● Key stakeholder to eight development teams, to break silos, increase communication and collaboration● Actively participated in company-wide QA initiatives, such as forming the QA Guild for wider knowledge sharing and fostering a team ethos

● Built and led the software test team across six development teams in two locations, recruiting a diverse team of individuals that added to the existing culture● Actively trained, coached and collaborated with each tester to meet their personal, team’s and the company’s needs● Collaboratively designed and implemented changes to the quality culture in the organisation; such as mobbing, pairing, socialising our work and sharing wider within the organisation● Keyfacilitator of communication, bridging Development with the rest of the business; such as marketing, technical publications, sales, support and IT● Authored and implemented test strategies, bug-handling strategies and tooling good practices● Jira Champion; admin and trainer for the whole organisation● Release Manager - defined and implemented release candidate requirements, processes and publishing of all software released inclusive of socialising releases internally & externally● Co-authored and established the Test & SW Engineering PDP Framework across the department

● EMEA’s representative in a team of eight test automation subject matter experts in the global R&D structure● Designed a single test automation solution for use by all device development teams● Designed project to create automated test scripts to be scalable across a multi-site framework● Project-managed outsourced development. Leading tenders with external contractors, POs, setting scope, priorities and leading fortnightly project steering conference calls with stakeholders● Created and implemented best practices, and chaired the review process for automation scripting, in line with CMMI 2+ requirements (PPQA)● First-line support for environment troubleshooting requirements locally and at other sites remotely
