UNITE is a consulting company developed to help “unite” universities and industry partners. It was built by two higher education corporate engagement professionals to solve a problem experienced as practitioners. When implemented it accelerates the holistic corporate engagement effort within universities. UNITE has a three primary offerings:1. BridgED is a consulting and professional development company developed to help “bridge the gap” between K-12 and the business community. BridgED has the proven playbook and process for K-12 districts to implement when building and developing relationships with industry to enhance student experience. When implemented it accelerates corporate engagement efforts, develops our workforce, increases internships and hiring, boosts philanthropic giving (scholarships), and helps students define their path forward. BridgED was built by corporate engagement professionals in academia to solve the fundamental problems experienced as practitioners.

The primary relationship manager and connection point between the university and top tier corporate partners - creating and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships which lead to increased revenue opportunities for all parties. Consult with corporate partners by collaborating to understand their investments, needs and strategic direction to add value to their business by connecting them with appropriate areas within the university. Be the liaison between corporate partner and key areas within the university including: talent (interns, hiring graduates), sponsored research (OSU faculty solving specific business needs), technology (licensing OSU faculty inventions), philanthropy (naming, gifts, etc.), marketing (alumni association, athletics), affinity, and innovation.

•Lead 1,500+ in-person meetings with 900+ Columbus businesses from Fortune 500 to brand new startups.•Attended, planned, and/or spoke at 460+ events.•Engaged with 800+ Twitter followers and 1,500+ LinkedIn connections comprised of local business leaders.•Helped members add $10M+ in new revenue,300+ jobs,and 200K sq. ft. in expansions.•Made 1,200+ introductions from member businesses to important resources. •Increased retention rates by 20 percent. •Managed a team of 6 full-time team members and quarterly interns. •Served as Secretary to the Board of Directors.•Known as “the face of the Columbus Chamber.”

•Ran daily operations for 3 locations (Grandview, Downtown Columbus and New Albany) with sales over $1.5 million. •Facilitated in the opening of 1400 New Albany.•Oversaw accounting, marketing, advertising, IT, and human resources including payroll for 30+ employees. Ordered and inventoried retail and back-bar products. •Created and managed website, Facebook and Twitter profiles.•Planned and executed 75 special events, including client open houses, team building functions, and career fairs. •Maintained client satisfaction and worked closely with 3,000+ clients. •Trained all support staff. •Scheduled and planned all guest artist appearances as well as travel arrangements for stylist training.
