Survivor Advocate And Business Coordinator
CurrentAs Survivor Advocate for HAE law firm, I provide trauma-informed support for our clients and team. My unique experience as a survivor, a volunteer for survivors, and a plaintiff who navigated the criminal justice system, civil litigation process, and a 5-week civil trial, helps me relate to our clients and understand their perspective. I build relationships with victim advocacy centers and mental health professionals so that we can provide vetted resources. I provide trauma-informed training for our team so they provide the trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive service our clients deserve while building self-resiliency and preventing burnout. As Business Coordinator, I create our strategic marketing and business development plans to ensure we are implementing client-focused, survivor-focused, and inclusive business practices, messaging and thought leadership in civil litigation. I build mutual referral and co-counsel relationships nationwide so we can trust that our referrals will get the same level of care HAE expects and delivers. HAE is a women-owned law firm and leader in trauma-informed law. Our team is comprised of diverse backgrounds that collectively strengthen our work and cultural sensitivity. We express our commitment to impact and giving back through the Haeggquist & Eck Foundation which financially supports organizations that provide a voice, opportunities, and empowerment to marginalized and disenfranchised members of our community.I chose to work at HAE because the intention they put into the client experience is unmatched by other law firms. HAE keeps our caseload small and our support staff full so that each client and case gets the highest level of attention they deserve to make progress and resolve in the shortest time possible. Clients get updates directly from their attorneys regularly and often. Transparency and regular communication are key factors in building client trust and alleviating anxiety and clients deserve nothing less.
