During my tenure, I served as the Pittsburgh Chair for the national nonprofit 2020 Women on Boards (2020 WOB), an organization focused on increasing the percentage of female talent inside for-profit boardrooms across the country to 20% or greater by the year 2020. I was also a member of the 2020 WOB Board of Leaders, a group composed of CEOs and Directors of public and private companies and prominent individuals who bring thought leadership to our society as a whole.

At Mascaro, a regional general contractor, I worked alongside the CEO and executive team through a family succession plan to second generation ownership and engaged the organization in the launch of multiple successful mentoring, knowledge transfer and coaching programs focused on developing current executives and emerging leaders. The organization’s innovative and strategic talent management initiatives and workforce planning became the foundation of an intentional culture shift for the company, which was recognized nationally and regionally, both inside and outside the construction industry. In 2008, the Association of General Contractors (AGC) honored Mascaro’s innovative talent initiatives with their national inaugural Education Excellence Award. As a member of the Mascaro executive staff, my role as Vice President was to align organizational and human resources goals to the strategic plan and corporate goals.
