I am the IT Director at Executive Homes. I have built a dynamic career spanning multiple disciplines since 1996. Beginning as a visual & UX designer, I evolved into a full-stack developer adept in crafting APIs, web, mobile, and desktop applications. Through diverse roles as a UX and developer, and with many years of experience leading both types of teams, I bring a well-rounded history to guide the team I have assembled at EH. I advocate for UX First, Lean UX, & Design Thinking strategies as an approach to designing software to improve user experience and reduce unnecessary rework in development.

Ui/Ux ArchitectVision2 Systems Oct 2011 - Oct 2014On-line and off-line giving/e-commerce SAAS based solutions for churches, non-profits, charities, and corporate social responsibility programs. Solutions help customers organize, plan, run, and promote projects & missions as well as marketing campaigns via mobile applications, and cross domain web tools that are injectable into the client’s site via a very simple api, and social media integration. My main priority was to design our front-end user interfaces and apis that allowed organizations to inject UI workflows within any consuming system, such as a simple blog like wordpress or something like Sharepoint, using json-p/cors cross domain. The system included merchant account, PCI compliance and integration with the client’s old giving & contact management data, as well as analytics, marketing campaign management, reporting tools, and more. The cross-domain SDK I developed, and was awarded a patent on, are minimal javascript modules built for a minimal footprint and without polluting the global javascript namespace with extra entities or using iframes by using json-p and cors. The UI by design was built to be extremely minimal and consume the parent website's css for a low impact. We built a management interface to allow easy configuration, code copy/paste, and theme management if they wanted some customization.I also designed and built the administration portal, most of the early branding for the company, was the 3rd employee and had a large influence on the direction of the product due to my r&d in javascript cross domain abilities.Skills used: Photoshop/Illustrator, CSS (Less), HTML, mvc, C#, JavaScript, CoffeeScript & TypeScript, cross-domain json-p/cors, 3rd party apis (twitter, facebook, etc), JavaScript unit testing, Social APIS, Hybrid Mobile Application
