Growing up in the Northeast was all about playing basketball with my brother, helping my Dad fix old cars, and playing assistant to mom's interior design company. Relocating to Dallas at 16, football quickly became my world, leading me to play as an Offensive Lineman at Texas A&M. There, I embraced the university's rich heritage and values of service and leadership, shaping my IQ and EQ, and aiding in my transition to the NFL, where I played for three teams including the 2003 Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Post-NFL, I ventured into entrepreneurship, founding one of the first online real-estate investment firms and later co-founding MISSION, the leader in Heat Health & Safety. MISSION partnered with superstar athletes Serena Williams, Drew Brees, and Dwyane Wade, retailers like Home Depot, Walmart, and others, as well as global shipping giant UPS, where we served their 500,000 industrial athletes/delivery drivers worldwide and helped reduce heat-related injuries by 20.73% in our first year of partnership. Our work with UPS was recognized when I served as a Delegate to the Health Equity Forum at the United Nations General Assembly Week 2023, highlighting global partnerships that improve worker safety.As President of SideKick Operators, my mission is to highlight the incredible service and leadership our workers provide to our country and return that service by investing in the values-based leaders and businesses that are ready to grow, hire, create, inspire, and leave a legacy of impact for generations to come. My most important accomplishments, however, are my roles as husband and father of two boys, and as the founder of AmplifyU at Texas A&M, the nation’s first program that bridges the gap between the University’s Athletics Department and Business School, equipping Student Athletes with business skills training that compliments their instinctive leadership abilities. I’m passionate about leadership and have been given the opportunity to consistently share this message as a TED speaker, national TV contributor, keynote speaker, and author of three leadership-focused books, including my most recent, “The Balloon on the Moon,” an inspiring book for children (and adults) that highlights the importance of dreaming big, where 100% of the profits are donated back to AmplifyU. I've collected a broad range of historical and political memorabilia, including what is now over 200 pocket Bibles carried on the front lines by soldiers during every American conflict from the Revolutionary War to present day.
