I lead the Strategy, Planning & Analysis (SP&A) group within Talent & Enterprise Services at Liberty Mutual. My team is responsible for articulating the strategy and priorities of T&ES and ensuring that strategy is aligned with the broader objectives of Liberty Mutual. Working across all functions within T&ES, I am responsible for ensuring the organization is executing on a common set of priorities with clear measures of success. My group also identifies the most important talent-related trends that could impact the company, and develops action plans on how to respond.SP&A also includes a Process Excellence team: a group of experienced professionals with deep expertise in lean management principles. The team partners with groups across Liberty Mutual to identify ways to improve the efficacy and efficiency of our operations. In addition, the Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations team within SP&A focuses on the talent-related aspects of acquisitions and divestitures at Liberty.

Corporate Strategy & Research (CS&R) is Liberty Mutual's internal management consulting group. CS&R serves as trusted, strategic advisers to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, and drives transformational change by taking an enterprise-wide, customer-centric perspective.As a member of the CS&R management team, I led some of the most complex and highly-visible projects in the group. This included helping the CEO and Executive Team at Liberty Mutual define and set a shared vision and enterprise strategy; executing on the reorganization of the company’s businesses; and identifying synergies in the integration of a specialty insurance carrier.In addition to project work, I was actively involved in finding and developing talent within the department. I served as a development coach to seven employees, actively helping them in their professional growth and career progression. I led the department’s recruiting efforts, including successfully hiring and onboarding high-quality consultants. I also oversaw the department’s offboarding efforts, focused on placing our employees into leadership positions elsewhere at Liberty.

As a Principal at Parthenon, I solved critical business issues for clients across numerous industries. My work spanned financial services, manufacturing, and private equity due diligence, and included strategic planning, growth strategy development, and market and competitor analysis. Due to strong performance, my leadership responsibilities progressed rapidly, and I began to lead case teams very early in my career. I served as the primary point of contact on numerous engagements, building relationships and sharing recommendations with CEOs and other C-suite leaders.My casework included developing growth strategies for gaining market share, expanding into new distribution channels, creating go-to-market strategies for new products, and conducting due diligence / strategic assessment of potential investments for private equity firms.

Chatham Partners is a boutique research firm providing custom market research and strategy consulting to clients in retirement services, institutional asset management, and trust/custody services.As an AVP at Chatham, I led teams of analysts on concurrent projects related to new business win/loss studies, customer loyalty research, and competitive positioning analysis. I acted as the day-to-day contact for multiple Fortune 500 and international financial services companies, using data insights to find both strategic and tactical insights that helped increase customer satisfaction and new business win rates.
