RAI Association is the Dutch trademark association of the mobility industry which represents over 500 makers and agents of passenger cars, trucks, busses, motors, scooters, bicycles and equipment for road transport. RAI Association works on a national and European level with a variety of governmental, NGO’s, research and civil society partners - as well as with a number of industry associations with related interests.Within RAI Association I coordinate and engage project, topics and trends on sustainable mobility, say CO2-emissions and alternative powertrains. For example;- promoting the role of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (incl. board member within the National H2Platform and in Special working group Mobility and Infrastructure) https://issuu.com/raivereniging/docs/go_mobility_1-2017/29- Boardmember of the National Hydrogen Programma (NWP): the Dutch Climate agreement is outspoken about the need for hydrogen. NWP deliverable is a H2 Cross sector workplan to be presented to the Dutch Gouvernment mid 2021 - https://nationaalwaterstofprogramma.nl/- CO2 reduction for Heavy Duty Vehicles and trailers within the European trademark association CLCCR- Special Working Group Hydrogen of the ‘National vision on common and alternative powertrains' (SER Brandstoffenvisie)- Training Academies; projects to improve the education level of students and the training level of personnel within the mobilitybranche- congress ‘Sustainable Road Transport’ at the exhibition BedrijfsAutoRAI- representing the Dutch vehicle makers and agents within AVERE, the European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles via the Dutch ‘Formula E Team’ (FET)

Within the third Project Noiseabatement Schiphol (PROGIS) 12,000 homes around Amsterdam Airport Schiphol offered noise insulation. The project was conducted by the ‘polluter pays'​ principle; Schiphol, via passengers, contributes cash to the former Ministry of Transport. Within PROGIS I was responsible for advising and communicating between PROGIS and its ‘environment'; stakeholders such as engineering and constructing companies, supervisors, contractors and the residents themselves. As well as creating consensus among internal departments about (technical) interest in the project environment.

The Regional Consultation Committee Schiphol Airport (CROS) is an initiative of the former Ministry of Transport. CROS’ mission is assembling the Aviation industry (Schiphol Group, Dutch Air Traffic Control and leading airliners), residents and the government to find solutions for noise abatement. To bring these stakeholders, with generally opposing interests together requires a focus on participation, consensus and support. CROS succeeds when developed ‘Noise abatement measures’ are adopted in the National Aviation Act.Within CROS I had close contact with all stakeholders and I worked in several projects, including a benchmark of policies from several international airports on noise abatement. The outcomes of the benchmark contributed to a new website and a new complaints registration system.

A huge multidisciplinary program to make Schiphol Airport €uro-proof towards the introduction of the €uro currency on January 1st 2002.
