I'm the Procrastination Paramedic. I help people to get focused and create the habits they need to set and achieve goals that matter. You want to do it, you said you'd do it, but when the time came, it's so easy to flinch and do something else. It's too big to start now, it'll easier and did something else. I get it. (I've been there.) Are you doing other people's work rather than your own? Are you beating yourself up because whenever the time comes to make a start, you flinch and do something else? Have you recommitted again and again, saying “This time I mean it”? Are you relying on sheer force of willpower, and discovering that it's not enough? This is an age-old human problem, with age-old strategies for tackling it. Some of these strategies are terrible. Guilt, shame and recriminations are rarely helpful. Other strategies are powerfully effective – those based on an understanding of your motivations, values and needs, underpinned by an understanding of from psychology research, applied with generous doses of curiosity and self-compassion. I support you to:- Understand why you're stuck.- Develop the tools to get through blockages.- Identify and dissolve what stands between you and your goals.- Create a path that will get you to your goals and give you every advantage on the journey.I draw from many sources to help you find the shift you need and the resources to take you on your journey. The foundation is a methodical approach drawing on neuroscience and practical experience (with a large dose of ancient wisdom). And in the end, creativity, persistence and teamwork (you and me) are crucial in testing and adapting solutions to your needs.
